MANAGEMENT OF THE INFORMATION SYSTEM OF SCHOOLS UNDER THE SURIN PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 2

Abstract

This research aims to: 1. Study the management of the information systems in schools under the jurisdiction of the Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. 2. Compare the levels of staff opinions on the management of information systems in schools under the Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, classified by position, school size, and work experience. 3. Explore development strategies for managing information systems in schools under the Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The sample group consisted of 322 staff members from schools in the Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, selected using stratified random sampling based on the Krejcie and Morgan sampling table. The research tools included a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire and a semi-structured interview. The content validity index (IOC) ranged from 0.80 to 1.00, and the reliability coefficient was 0.81. The statistical methods for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-test, and post-hoc analysis using the Scheffé method.

  The findings of the research revealed

1. The overall management of information systems in schools under the Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 was rated relatively high. When broken down by different aspects, all areas were found to be at a high level.

  2.The management of information systems in schools under the Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 differed significantly at the .05 level when classified by position, particularly in the areas of data verification, data presentation, and data storage.

2. The management of information systems did not differ significantly based on work experience overall; however, differences were observed in data storage and information management.


3. Development strategies for managing information systems in schools under the Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 include using technology for data collection to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of data in real-time, continuously verifying and updating data to ensure its timeliness, assigning personnel with knowledge in mathematics and statistics for data processing, selecting appropriate processing methods, and linking data in networks. Data presentation should be clear, concise, and meet user needs, while data storage systems should be comprehensive, easy to search, and usable as references, with continuous updates to ensure data remains current.
