Abstract
This research aimed to: 1) study the academic administration of highland schools under the Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 3, and 2) compare the opinions of educational personnel with different educational backgrounds and work experiences regarding the academic administration of these schools. The research employed a survey research design. The sample consisted of 242 educational personnel, selected through simple random sampling, using schools as strata and proportionally stratified sampling based on the Taro Yamane formula.
The research instrument was a 30-item questionnaire using a 5-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and one-way analysis of variance (one-way ANOVA).
The findings revealed that:
- The overall level of academic administration in highland schools under the Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 3 was at the highest level, with the highest mean score found in the area of internal quality assurance system development, followed by educational supervision, assessment, evaluation, and credit transfer, curriculum development, and learning process development, respectively.
- The comparison results showed that educational personnel with different educational qualifications and work experiences had significantly different opinions regarding academic administration in highland schools under the Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 3, at the .05 level of statistical significance.
