THE GUIDELINE FOR MANAGEMENT OF BUILDING PROFESSIONAL LEARNING COMMUNITIES IN SAM CHUK RATTANAPHOKARAM SCHOOL, SUPHAN BURI PROVINCE

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: 1) to study level of professional learning communities in Sam Chuk Rattanaphokaram School, Suphan Buri Province. 2) to study the  guideline for management of professional learning communities in Sam Chuk Rattanaphokaram School. The population were the school director, teacher, fundamental education committee and parent committee total 106 person. The Statistics used were percentage, mean and standard deviation. The research instruments were 1) level of a professional learning communities questionnaire. 2) Interview form for professional learning community guidelines. Data were analyzed using ready-made statistical programs. Statistics used in data analysis included percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

           The research results found that 1) the overall management of professional learning communities was at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that the aspect with the highest average value was teacher development to enhance professional learning. 2) Guidelines for promoting the management of professional learning communities are: parents should be invited to participate in thinking, working, and solving problems by being resource persons, working together in groups from all network parties, and there should be proactive channels via online systems to receive information about student problems, namely, organizing parent meetings in each classroom and providing a two-way communication channel between the school and parents.
