PARTICIPATION IN LOCAL POLITIC OF PEOPLE IN DON TUM SUBDISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION, BANG LEN DISTRICT, NAKHON PATHOM PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the local politic participation of people in Don Tum Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Bang Len District, Nakhon Pathom Province, and 2) to study the  suggestions for local politic participation of people in Don Tum Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Bang Len District, Nakhon Pathom Province. The research was quantitative. The population was 4,825 voters in the area of ​​Don Tum Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Bang Len District, Nakhon Pathom Province. The sample size was determined according to Krejci and Morgan's table, the sample size was 357 people. Data was collected using simple random sampling. The research tool was a questionnaire. Data was analyzed using percentage values, mean and standard deviation. 

The research results found that: (1) the local politic participation of people in Don Tum Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Bang Len District, Nakhon Pathom Province, overall, it was at the highest level (  = 4.56). When considering each aspect, it was found that the aspect with the highest average was election monitoring ( = = 4.63), followed by election campaigning ( = 4.53), and the aspect with the lowest average was regarding the exercise of election rights ( = = 4.51), and (2) the  suggestions for local politic participation of people in Don Tum Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Bang Len District, Nakhon Pathom Province  was found that  the campaigns and public relations should be promoted through various channels, increasing election campaign and public relations activities, promoting participation in political activities and meetings related to elections, supporting and stimulating citizens to participate more in elections, improving the form of public relations to be more effective had been this included organizing activities to enhance knowledge about elections for youth and creating an online platform for raising questions about elections.
