Abstract

Every human being has faced events in their life that have led them to ask, “Why is this happening to me?” Many believe that the events we experience are the result of karma, a key concept in Buddhism. The word “karma” means action, which includes actions of the body, speech, and mind, leading to the consequences that follow. Karma is not simply a fixed fate, but a systematic process of cause and effect. By properly understanding the principles of karma, we can live mindfully and create better choices.
