A MODEL DEVELOPMENT ON PARTICIPATIVE SAFETY MANAGEMENT INSCHOOLS UNDER CHON BURI PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 1

Abstract
This research article aims to: 1) study the present circumstances of participative safety management in schools under Chon Buri primary educational service area office 1. 2) develop a model of participative safety management in schools under Chon Buri primary educational service area office 1, and 3) evaluate the model of participative safety management in schools under Chon Buri primary educational service area office 1. This study was quantitative and qualitative research. The sample used for quantitative research was comprised of 375 administrators and teachers of schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission, obtained by simple random sampling. The tool used for data collection was a questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis were mean, frequency, percentage, standard deviation, and multiple regression. For the qualitative research, the sample used for in-depth interview was comprised of 15 school administrators, community leaders, and safety experts.The sample used for focus groups was comprised of 12 school administrators, community leaders, and safety experts, obtained by purposive sampling. The collected data was analyzed by means of content analysis.
The results of the study were as follows: 1) The present circumstances of participative safety management in schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission, as a whole, was at a high level. 2) The model of participative safety management in schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission was comprised of 4 aspects, namely: 1. The measures of prevention and solving accident problems in school. 2. The measures of prevention and solving natural disaster problems in school. 3. The measures of prevention and solving social problems in school, and 4. The safety measures on student health. 3) The model of participative safety management in schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission was evaluated and verified by all experts joined the second focus group that it was a good model and it could be applied in real situations.
